THE Spiritual DULLARD {Part 1}
Today in
our world, many people have acquired knowledge and have studied so well to
become what is known as geniuses. Many are considered as bright, intelligent,
sound, clever, innovative, lively, proficient, and knowledgeable in the affairs
of this world.
Unfortunately,
in the spiritual realm these same highlighted people could also be
intellectually weak, dull, sluggish, uninteresting, incapable, gloomy, leaden,
and unimaginative.
"For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart,
and should be converted, and I should heal them."
{Matt 13:15}
Physical dullness can be in action, outlook and in
appearance {visible}. Spiritual dullness is purely spiritual and invisible,
yet can be manifested.

The
problem of Spiritual dullness prevents us from grasping the deeper truths of
the Christian faith.
Attributes of the Spiritual Dullard
1. Uninterested to
listen to the word of God: The only way you
can sharpen your spirit man is be educating it; through messages, bible and the
likes. {Luke
8:10}.
2.
Weak Prayer: A
spiritual dullard will keep praying the same prayers he has learnt for the past
5 to 10 years. He has not grown in it neither has he increased the prayer time.
3.
Their Minds are closed: A
spiritual dullard will not see reasons to reality of spiritual facts because he
has close up his mind. He is comfortable with his status thereby he remains
stagnant. {Luke 8:5-7}
4. Slow to understand
the word of God: The spiritual dullard will
find it difficult to understand the spiritual meaning of common simple and
clear scriptures. Such people twist the bible and quote out of context just to
suite their own self. {Luke 24:45}
5. Does not do Bible
meditation and forgets memorized scriptures.: They
will be able to memorize song lyrics and remember all the football players
names, their clubs, their positions, their earnings but cannot boast of 2 new
memory verse in a week; Dullness.
6. Weak Family Altar: Such people will hurry out of their homes without prayers
thereby opening the home for attack and setting a bad example to children.
7. Do not Participate in
Evangelism: The bible says, he that
wins a soul is wise, vice versa; he that does not win a soul is unwise; a
dullard I n the spirit realm.{Prov
11:30},{Act1:8}.
8. Does not observe
quality Quiet Time: The time such person use
in the presence of God is insufficient thereby the person lacks instructions
that God intends to give to him so that he may prosper.
9. Lukewarm in church
activities: Such people will pour out
their passion in non-spiritual things rather that contend for the faith. They
have been attending their churches for years without joining a group. There is
nothing you are doing in that church; if everyone was like you ,will the church
still be functional as it is.
10.
Lateness to church Services: This
people will never afford to be late to their offices for five days in a week
but will choose to be late to worship God just 1 day in the week.
11.
High interest in worldly activities: Such people don’t joke with parties, outings even at the
detriment of their spiritual life. You see some people go to night parties on Saturday
and are too tired to come to church on Sunday.
12.
Careless in spiritual things:
Such people do not take spiritual matters serious. The fact is that the
spiritual controls the physical. They disregard dreams hence do not hear God
and they let the attack of the enemy be effective.The ten virgins did not
prepare enough. Many come to church without a bible.
13.
Disobedience to men of God: They
don’t regard the instructions of God’s prophets {2 Chron 20:20}
14.
Being easily distracted: {2 Tim
4:10} Demas forsook Paul because of things of the world. Such people will run
after God only when in problems, if the problem goes, they return to their
worldly way of life. This is the reason the old problems come back; distractions.
15.
Walking with the dullard: When you
walk with the wise you will be wise. Most spiritual dullard have friends and
company that are not spiritually sound; if not those people would have educated
him.{Prov 13:13}
16.
No zeal for the things of God: Some
even run away from sitting at the front of church; the same people fight for the
front at the cinema or the football stadium.
17.
Lost fellowship: Once the
connection to the source of power is disconnected one begin to depreciate. God
fellowship with Adam and eve and the moment the fellowship ended, and then
tough times began for them. I pray; you will not lose your fellowship with God.
18.
Easily tempted: A lot
fall for so many small things. At any little temptation they fall; they are
spiritually dull. {Mat 6:13}
19. Loosing focus in
life: You have to know and understand what you
are looking for; then pursue it.
20. There is spiritual
decay: When a person’s spirit man lack
nutrient, there is no growth; when there is no growth, stagnancy comes in, and
then they begin the decay.
21. Easily fall into sin and iniquity: A dullard is not sin conscious,
so he commits sin at any opportunity because he does not understand the real
consequences of sin. {Matthew 24:12}
There
is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God {Rom 3:11}

1. Father Lord! Revive my spirit man in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord Jesus, heal my wounded spirit in the name of Jesus.
3. Every power of spiritual slumber, Die! In the name of Jesus.
4. I recover back all that I have lost as a result of spiritual
dullness in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to be a spiritual dullard; I am a spiritual genius in
the name of Jesus.
Declare these
Confessions to yourself:
6. This year, every gang up against my peace shall scatter in the
name of Jesus.
7. This year, my God shall arise and make me a mysterious wonder in
the name of Jesus.
8. This year, every evil voice speaking against my life, shall be
silenced in the name of Jesus.
9. This year, what others call a problem, shall become promotion
for me in the name of Jesus.
10.
This year, every power
that is against my existence, shall Die! In the name of Jesus.
