Word of the Day: Power of Excellence {ReVisited}

Power of Excellence

Excellence is going beyond simply doing a good job at something. It is giving an extra effort to be the best you can possible be. It is going beyond self-improvement and personal development. Excellence
"Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm." {Daniel 6:3}
Excellence is a major requirement for success. It means that you are striving for excellence in what you do in your life. It means that you do your best to achieve the requirements of the task, resulting in satisfied customers or supervisors and the good feeling of pride in your work. But achieving that goal can be a challenge due to outside forces and your own destructive attitudes.
Excellence is essential in rising above the crowd and in providing others what they want. You benefit by improving your own esteem and self-worth, as well as how others view you. This means that you must do excellent or high quality work in everything you do. How you do things relates to how you feel about yourself--your attitude, confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and pride in your abilities. It is also important in how others look at you. Excellence and quality products and services are essential for a business to be a success.
When you are excellent in what you do then:
Ø People will sought after you no matter how hidden you appear to be.
Ø Even your enemies will acknowledge and respect you.
Ø You will be a pace-setter.
Excellent people in history:
v Jesus Christ Jesus fulfilled his destiny with excellence; even the devil came to him and found nothing to hold against him. {John 14:30}.
v Paul He was a thorough man from the time he was a persecutor. Even when he started to contend for faith he continued in the zeal of his believe. He declared that he had fought a good fight, I have finished my course { 2 Timothy 4:7}
v Dr. D.K OlukoyaThis is a man that believes in total excellence; in his undergraduate days, he
aimed for the top and had the first class in a difficult course called molecular genetics. He furthered in to his PhD and he excel. With all this, he retired from the academic career into the ministry by God’s instruction and also excelling greatly. He has even become a pace setter in that which he believed in.
v Former Gov. Babatunde Fashola: This is a man that pursued excellence; when he became the governor of
Lagos state, nobody knew him but he made a distinctive mark that no one can overlook. His predecessor is so proud of him that he added him to his cv; his competitors accepted him as the leader and a no match; he became a pace-setter that everyone is trying to emulate. All this is as a result of excellence.
Time will not allow us to name excellent people like King David, Daniel, Dora Akunyili,Ali Baba, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Don Moen, Pastor Adeboye, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina (Minister for Agriculture), Tunde Kelani, Kunle Afolayan and so on.

Declare this to yourself:
