THE PERILS OF POWERLESSNESS {Part 2}
Today’s message is a continuation of last week’s message titled The Perils of Powerlessness that was published on 4th December, 2014.
The last time we were able establish why is essential that we don’t remain at the level of powerlessness. That message have bought a lot of results and testimonies; it has also empowered the gospel the essence of having the power of God.
In the regular school of study, it is usual to get lesson before the test; contrary to that, in the school of life, you will get tested before you get lesson from it.
I pray:
You will not learn the hard way in the name of Jesus
This is the reason why you need the power of God in your life.
A lot of people have become an expert in making excuses.
Blame is a defence adopted by virtue of powerlessness.
If you know where they are attacking you from and you possess sufficient power, you will not pass blame but will utilize the power you have.
In most churches today, the pastor preaches inspirational and motivational messages, they use enticing and sweet words rather than the power of God.
Our churches of today are full of weakness and powerlessness.
We must not queue behind this trend of powerlessness.
The churches of today are full of activities, entertainment and plenty of exercise but weak.
Even if they are poison, they will not kill anyone: even if they are medicine, they will not have any power to heal anyone.
The weapon of tears is only a flow back of powerlessness.
Act 19:11-17 King James Version (KJV)

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
In the passage above, the evil spirit asked , who are you?
The demons questioned their authority.
The demon does not recognize their name.
Their name has no record in heaven or in hell.
This is a result of
When you is Powerlessness, then you will be overcome by demons.
Imagine, because of Powerlessness, seven (7) men were disgraced and overcome with ease.
Command this loud to your spirit:
Every Spirit of Powerlessness, depart from Soul in the name of Jesus
Causes of Powerlessness =>
The Enemy Within (The internal Demon)
This is the major cause of powerlessness; the reason why the enemy is able to successfully defeat a person.
Whether we are ignorant of this or not, it does not matter at all.
When there is an internal demon, it will be difficult to attack the external demon you see. The external demon would rather laugh because they are able to see that you have their colleague inside you.
Illustration story:
There was this pastor of a church; he is a motivational pastor that preaches sweet words to his members. He create such much entertainment in his church, where he shouts Hey hI!, the members also reply iH Hey ! One day he attended prayer rain programme at prayer city; the topic that day was “Eaters of Flesh and Drinkers of Blood” This pastor enjoyed the message and he prayed; he was wrote all the prayers that were prayer that day.
On the following Sunday, he did not preach his usually sugarcoated message. He preached the topic he wrote from the prayer rain programme; “Eaters of Flesh and Drinkers of Blood”. He was very glad because through the message people were touched and delivered. He planned to be at the next prayer rain to get more fire messages.
That same night, he was woken by tree dark creatures by his bed. They asked him; who are you to dare us? Your fathers is part of us; your mother is part of us; even you yourself, we live inside you. If not us that pleaded, you would have been sacrifices at your tender age. They looked at each other and brought out a whip, the pastor was been whipped serious that he shouted loud. His wife came to the door, but though the door was not locked , she couldn’t open the door. They beat him so hard and he promised never to pray such prayers again.
What was his problem. It is powerlessness. He posed to have that power but denial the genuine power thereof.
This is a man that was trying to overcome the external enemy but still has the internal enemy, sound and well.
We need to first of all, deal with the enemy inside our lives.
Even the bible says: how can a devil cast out a devil; a kingdom that stands up against itself will not stand. {Matthew 12:26}
The prayer for today’s message stands upon the scripture: As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me{Psalm 18:44}
If Strangers are in your Life , Then =>
v You will not be able to command the devil; they will not obey.
v They will mock and laugh at you.
v They might beat you up
v They will embarrass and disgrace you.
v They will use your life as experimental guinea-pig.
Illustration story:
A very long time ago before mountain of fire started, I was in a big church where I was given a big title: “Chief Counsellor”. People usually come for counselling and they come first to me, I will then directed them to other counsellors but if it is a case I know they won’t be able to handle, I will attend to them myself.
On this faithful day, an Indian-Nigerian lady showed up for counselling. She said; Pastor, I have snake moving in my head, snakes moving in my chest, stomach, leg; please help me. When I heard this, I forsake all other counselling and put her on one side. Then a pastor came and said; why is she left by the side, I can counsel her, let me minister to her; I allowed this pastor and went on with the others.
All of sudden, someone ran crying; brethren! Brethren! Brethren ! Come. We all rushed to the place and this Indian-Nigeria lady was on the floor with her skirt up and the pastor was on top try to pull down his trouser. The brethren tried to pull him away but it was difficult as if a force was drawing him to that lady. I went to them and commanded; In the name of Jesus come up from her and he got up. He did not know what he was doing.
This is a pastor that still has internal demon of lust and wants to cast out the external one instead he was overpowered; it is impossible for devil cast out devil !!!
Pray this prayer with your whole hearth;
Powers Assigned to Overpower Me Die in the name of Jesus.
The bible says;
No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.{Mark 3:27}
For the bible to make reference to something as STRONG, it means it is really strong.
For you to drive away strangers in your life, you need to do this;
o Bind the String Man.
o Collect back your goods
Bind the following Strong Man =>
v Spirit of Lust
v Satanic Counter Attacks
v Profitless Hard work
v Strange Yokes
v Stubborn Problems
v Blood sucking Demons
v Wicked Strongholds
v Spirit of Sickness an Infirmity
v Dream Criminals
And other Strong men in your life as the Holy Spirit will give you the insight to.
The Bible says;
The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.{Ps 18:45}
For you to overcome a strong man, you need a stronger man

We need the power of God in our life to displace evil stranger in us.

Prayers
You might have been asking God Saying ;
When will my deliverance come?
I want to carry my baby!
People are already mocking me.
I am tired of been sick and sick of been tired.
This might be the prayer that life has been waiting for.
1. Powers that accepted witchcraft for my sake, die in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers ! Pouring blood on the ground for my sake, die in the name of Jesus.
Illustration story:
It was in Kongo Kinshasa, we were having a crusade. There was a woman on the prayer ground, she was tired of her situation because she cannot her understand her life any longer and she is so tired of been tired. The prayer point then was : “Wickedness in my household, die” She prayed form her
It shows you that , you can pray here and things will happen immediately. It will be felt by the concerned powers.
Imagine, the enemy advising her on the prayers to pray.
3. Wickedness in my household, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Voices of darkness, calling my name for evil, die in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers ! That have stolen the glory of my future, die in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers ! Sucking the blood of my destiny, suck you blood and die in the name of Jesus.
7. Powers ! Assigned to overcome me, die in the name of Jesus.
