Marriage Killer Series: The Greatest Enemy

 “Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth." {Mal 2:14-15}

Good is taking record of your actions in your marriage. You need to be careful with the way handle the wife of your youth; the way you handle the husband of your youth. 

The Attributes of Marriage

Ø Marriage is originated by God

Ø Marriage is for Pleasure not for pressure

Ø Marriage is a Cure for loneliness

Ø Marriage is to make man better not bitter.

Ø Marriage is a blessing from the Almighty Good

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD." {Prov 18:22}

Ø Marriage is a wedlock not padlock

Ø Marriage completes you. You are incomplete without your spouse.

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour" {Eccl 4:9}

"And the LORD God said it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”{Gen 2:18}

Ø Marriage involves clinging to your spouse

The greatest force on this earth is the force of an agreeing couple

"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." {Mat 18:19}

Unfortunately, three is an enemy that troubles marriage; a serious enemy indeed.

This enemy has done serious havoc:

ü This enemy has sent many marriage to early grave.

ü This enemy has Open marriages to demonic operation.

ü This enemy has brought lots of troubles into marriages.

This enemy that attacks marriage is the spirit of anger

v Anger is an outburst of emotion

v Anger is an uncontrolled emotion

"Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools." {Eccl 7:9}

When anger is through with a person; the person will become useless and full of regrets.

An angry man/woman is a potential murderer

Many never intended to kill but because of this spirit of murder they became a victim of this spirit

Effects of Anger

v Whoever angers you conquers you. 

v Anger Leads to regret.

v Many people in anger, has lost good jobs.

v Have lost great opportunities and chances.

v It is even risky to be close to an angry person.

v It is even disastrous when the husband is angry and at the same time the wife is also angry. This can result to calamity.

Every spirit that takes over you and you become uncontrollable, may be tree Soffit be destroyed in the name of Jesus.

v Some can be angry with their wife and burn ask their spouse’s certificates

v Some burn all their spouse’s clothes

v Some destroy all electronics in the house when they are angry.

v Some refuse to eat their wives food and then suffer in silence; all because of anger

v Anger is like a cancer, it eats up the host; it’s like fire that destroys.

v Anger dealt with Moses and Moses lost his chance with God.

Types of Anger

Ø Explosive anger. It is like a keg of gun powder; anger.

Ø Passive anger: some may be angry and not aware but they are easily triggered.

Ø Overwhelming anger: Angry because of the several challenges off life being faced.

Ø Volatile anger.

Ø Aggressive anger.

Ø Judgmental anger.

Ø Self-inflicted anger.

Ø Chronic anger.

Ø Vengeful anger.

Ø Petrified

Ø Incidental anger

Ø Empathic: holy anger

Ø Prolonged anger.

Ø Inherited anger.

What to do to Conquer the marriage enemy: Anger

1.    Understand who your partner is. The discovery is a life time.

2.    Destroy the spirit of anger.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:" {Eph 4:31}

In Conclusion; overcome anger in marriage with Softness, low voice, meekness, communication, patience and so on
