Mountain Top Life DAILY DEVOTION
FAITH: FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
17TH DECEMBER, 2021
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hebrews 1-6
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Romans 4:16-21
16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
MEMORY VERSE: ” So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure .” – 2 Thessalonians 1:4
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Worry only maintains tomorrow's sorry and leaks away today's joy.
PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit.
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
THE LORD SHALL GRANT YOU ABUNDANT GRACE FOR YOUR LIFE'S JOURNEY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
THE MESSAGE:
Faith,
as a fruit of the Holy Spirit, says a lot about your character as a
Christian. It also says a lot about your walk and relationship with
God. Since God is always faithful to all His promises, you, as a
Christian, should be faithful in your calling. Faith is the evidence
of the Holy Spirit's work in your life. Being faithful is a character
trait that combines dependability and trust, based on your confidence
in God and His eternal faithfulness. To be faithful is to be reliable
or trustworthy. The keys to surviving persecution are patience and
faith. When you are faced with crushing troubles and hardships, have
faith that God is using them for your good and for His glory.
God
is good and fair. He has not forgotten you. In His time, He will end
your suffering and punish those who persecute you. All you need is to
have faith and confidence in Him. If God says you are healed, believe
Him and you will receive your healing. Jesus told the woman with the
issue of blood, "Thy faith hath made thee whole" (Matthew
9:22). The same thing goes with the centurion (Matthew 8:13). This
man's faith amazed Jesus. With faith in God, He can change a hopeless
situation to testimony. This faith also manifested in the life of the
woman who had the issue of blood for twelve years.
In your
trouble and desperation, reach out to God in faith and He will
respond. In Matthew 17:17, the disciples were unable to cast out the
devil in someone's life for the lack of faith. It is the power of God
and your faith that move mountains. The Bible says that if your faith
is as small as the grain of a mustard seed, which was the smallest
particle, it is sufficient to move your mountain. There is a great
potential in a little faith when you trust in God's power to move.
Whenever you face a problem that seems big and immovable, look unto
Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. It is only then, you
will be able to overcome the obstacle. Put your faith to work today
and you will experience the awesome power of God.
