CALL THEM FORTH

EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: Exodus 14-16

READ: Genesis 1:1-11

[1]In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2]And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3]And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4]And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5]And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
[6]And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

[7]And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
[8]And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
[9]And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
[10]And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
[11]And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

EXPOSITION

Thank God we are created in His image, and this informs why He expects us to be creative like Him. The inventors of what we are enjoying in our world today must be commended for living up to God's expectation for their lives. Everything man needs has been hidden from his sight, and even God had to call things forth "LET THERE BE." The half of what you need is hidden somewhere and the other half, hidden within you. First, you have to bring them out from your heart before you can see or touch them where they are. It is when you make a move that the Holy Spirit helps you even more than you desire.

What do you do with those good and godly thoughts of yours? There is power in your tongue. "Let there be"; "Let there be rain"; "Lazarus, come forth"; "Tabitha rise"; etc. are words spoken into manifestation (Gen. 1:3; 1 Kgs. 18:42-45; Jn. 11:43; Acts 9:40). Where did the child of the woman of Shunem come from (2 Kgs. 4:15-17)? Put the power of God deposited in your spirit-coated tongue to test in God's way (with faith) and see God in action for you as new things spring forth by His power.

However, sometimes, you may not get what you imagine but what you desire and call forth. 'Ask, and it will be given to you' (Matt. 7:7). Even though you try many times and fail as much, you will surely get there, if you insist and persist. He who stammers would eventually call 'father' at the end. You have not failed, if each time you fall, you rise again. Keep on pressing and pushing on, until you push darkness aside, and what you need comes forth. Fear is the gap between you and your destination. Overcome it by the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. You will get there, in Jesus' name.
PRAYER POINT:

1. Lord, help me to overcome the fear that makes me fall below Your expectation.
2. O Lord, help our youths never to give up trying because of the political and economic situations in our nation.
3. Father, instil courage in the hearts of Your people to continue to press harder for soul-winning, even as the enemies advance daily.
