Mountain Top Life DAILY DEVOTIONAL
MYSTERY AND BLESSING OF DEDICATION (III)
3RD JANUARY, 2022
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 4:17-26, Genesis 5, Genesis 6, Matthew 2:19-23, Matthew 3, Psalm 3:1-8
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 19:23-29
1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
MEMORY VERSE: ” And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will .” – Acts 13:22
MOTIVATIONAL
QUOTE:
You can't have a place with God and lack your place on earth. The man who can stand before God can never bow for anything.
PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit.
PROPHETIC
WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECREE THAT THE BLESSINGS AND HONOUR ATTACHED TO BEING DEDICATED TO GOD SHALL MANIFEST GREATLY IN YOUR LIFE THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
THE MESSAGE:
The blessings of dedication are numerous, and we shall examine some of them today. First, dedication gives the believer the privilege of a special place with God, to come boldly to His throne or stand in His presence. Enoch's life was one of dedication. He did not taste death because God Himself took him. Only people that are dedicated to God can walk successfully with Him. Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Daniel, Peter and Paul, etc., are good examples here.
In Genesis 19, the angel of the Lord moved Lot and members of his family out of Sodom and instructed them to run for their lives and not look back, neither stop anywhere in the plain (Genesis 19:17). The Bible records that Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. Her offence was that of disobedience! She looked back at the burning city against divine warning. This is a clear manifestation of lack of dedication and commitment to God and His word.

However, Abraham looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land of the plain, and saw that smoke was going up from the land like that of a furnace. Mrs Lot looked at the same scene and died. Abraham looked and lived. Why? He enjoyed divine immunity because of his dedication to God.
Dedication will also put you in the class of God, make you to rule in the midst of your enemies and over adverse circumstances. Elijah gave a decree that left Ahab and the entire nation completely at the mercy of the prophet and his God. He said, "And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word." Heaven honoured Elijah's word just as it did Joshua's at the Valley of Aijalon, where the sun did not set until Israel had gained victory in the battle. Such is the great honour that God confers on those who are dedicated to Him.
Dedication would make you a man after God's heart like David. David was a man who yielded to God's word to do His will (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). Even where and when he faltered, he was quick to repent (Psalm 51:10-12). On the other hand, Saul failed because his heart was not right with God neither was his life totally dedicated to Him. All these things are written for us to learn from. Learn and be wise!
