DEAL WITH SIN BEFORE IT DEALS WITH YOU 2

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 3:1-12

1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 

3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

THE MESSAGE:

Sin has enslaving power. The Bible affirms that on several occasions. The children of Israel sinned against God and He handed them over to their enemies to afflict and enslave. Beloved, sin makes the sinner a slave to satan, demons and his other cohorts. The devil is a slave driver and task master. He is also a legalist. He does not want his captives to ever go free. Thank God for the liberating power in the blood and name of Jesus.

Sin also has polluting and perverting power. God is holy and cannot condone sin. Sin corrupts and perverts the original image of God. Sin grants the devil access to the sinner's life to pollute and pervert it. Satan redesigns people's lives and destinies for evil through the instrumentality of sin.

Sin has fear-inducing power. It weakens or kills faith. It produces fear and its attendant torment. The first thing Adam demonstrated after he sinned was fear. He told God that he hid himself because he saw that he was naked. Fear made him to hide himself from God.

Obedience and holiness produce faith and confidence in approaching God's throne. Sin produces fear and makes the sinner to run from God. Beloved, you can only live above sin and conquer its power by giving your life to Christ and living by the power of the Holy Spirit. When you become a child of God, He will forgive your sin, break its destructive power over your life and it will not have dominion over you anymore. I encourage you to become born again today. The victory of the Cross and the blessings of Calvary will begin to manifest in your life.

Beloved, the moment you confess your sins and forsake them, the devil and his cohorts will lose any legal right they have over your life and affair. That is why repentance and restitution have amazing power to produce your salvation, deliverance, healing and restoration. Once you keep sin away from your life and cling to God in holy living and obedience, you will experience mountain-top Christian life.









PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I repent of every known and unknown sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Holy Ghost, pull me out from the pit of sin, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every tree that sin has planted in my life, be uprooted by the power of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Secret sins in my life strengthening the enemy of my progress, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. I loose my soul from the bondage of sin, in the name of Jesus.
6. Shackles of death and hell upon me as a result of sin, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord Jesus, set me free from sin, in the name of Jesus.
