SUCCESS KILLERS _{{Part 1} (Power of Focus)}

There are things that undermine your success.

They do not allow success to manifest even though you believe you are ripe for the success.

We will be looking at a few of those things that work against our success in life.

We first need to know what success is.

What is success?

At this point; we need to know that God has a plan and purpose for our life.

The plans and purpose is what will give us happiness, joy, fulfillment and success.

Success is accomplishing what God wants me to accomplish.

Success is fulfilling God plans and purpose for my life.

God desires that we are successful

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and (that your body) may keep well, even as (I know) your soul keeps well and prospers. In fact, I greatly rejoiced when (some of) the brethren from time to time arrived and spoke (so highly) of the sincerity and fidelity of your life, as indeed you do live in the Truth (the whole Gospel presents). {3 John 2 (AMP)}

This contrasts wildly with most definitions of success that you will find, but I think it accurately reflects what success is in God’s eyes.

If we can accomplish what God wants us to accomplish as individuals, businessmen, professionals, specialist and as a country, we will be successful indeed.

The good news is that God supplies us with everything necessary for us to be successful in this way.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. {Psalm 1:3}

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success {Josh 1:8}

The Greatest Prerequisite for success of which without it, there is an establishes the biggest of success killer is “Walking with God”

·      No matter how brilliant and intelligent you are!

·      No matter nice and kind you are!

·      No matter how connected you are!

·      No matter how powerful you are!

·      No matter how brilliant you are!

If you are not walking with God; then you cannot have the good success desired by God.

The bible says; there is nothing we have that we were not given

Also, it is ONLY God that giveth power to get wealth; power to get Success {Deuteronomy 8:18}

The bible also says; the blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich without adding sorrow to it. {Proverbs 10:22}

Only the Success that has a foundation of God can be lasting

Why do we need to Work with God?

There is a supernatural power that establishes success.

This can only be given by God; it is of importance we pray for them also;

Some of the supernatural powers are;

ü Favour

ü Mercy

ü Grace

The Success Killers:

Lack of Focus

The shortest route to the land of Success is Focus

The most powerful force you and I control is our FOCUS. Our focus determines everything. It has the power to define what we see. It has the power to determine if we see ourselves as oppressed and powerless…or if we see ourselves connected to the power of God.

To succeed in life you need to focus on that thing you want to succeed in.

“Turn your face toward the sun and the shadows will fall behind you.”

Distraction is the greatest enemy of focus; it robs you of the opportunity of being a winner.

No man or woman has that capacity to focus in life without the help of God.

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. {Isa 50:7}

There are a lot of things in life that tends to blur you vision and make you lose your vision. This includes people, activities, friends, devil and so on.

Focus is the ability to define a single goal and concentrate on achieving it.

Many people live their life without a focus therefore; anything that comes to their sight is what they focus on. They will focus on visa lottery, focus on Job at the bank, school, anywhere.

They don’t have a precise place or thing they focus on.

Without Focus in Life; Nothing of Value is achieved

Secret Solution:

Keep Your Heart Fixed

Keep your heart fixed on you goals.

Just Focus

Maybe you’ve faced some midnight hours in your life. Times when you felt powers beyond your control had imprisoned you…times when you felt chained down.

We can all be faced with midnight.

What would you do? Should I throw in the trowel?

I might become so focused on myself that I couldn’t think of anything else.

I know I might become so overwhelmed by the powers at hand…that I might just give up…or withdraw.

I might become so focused on the unfairness….I’d become consumed with cynicism… anger… and begin complaining.

Just like in the race, ignore what happens around you from the start of the race to the finish point; Refuse to be distracted.

Just Focus

And the lord will see you through; his grace shall be sufficient for you. The height that your father and mother did not get to, you will get there and surpass it; your success shall not be killed; your success shall not be frustrated in the name of Jesus.

1.   Anointing of possibilities, fall upon me in the name of Jesus.

2.   Powers assigned against my focus in life; die in the name of Jesus.

3.   Every storm of distraction, blow against my life, be calm in the name of Jesus.

4.   You my life! Receive the favour, mercy and grace of God, in the name of Jesus.

5.   Covenant of Wealth and good success! Be fulfilled in my life; in the name of Jesus.
