THE DARK ROOMS OF YOUR LIFE_{{Part 2}}

We began this topic yesterday (Access Part 1 Here), where we looked at the cryptic way the enemy sneaks into the life of children of God. A person can be doing well for the lord and still agents of darkness quietly living there; the reason for this is because there is some darkness still remaining in such lives.

The devil is not concerned about how little the room you make available; he is going to utilize the little room effectively.

We continue to analyze some of the agents of darkness that dwells in the dark rooms a person’s life.

6. Pride

Pride is sometimes confused with good self-esteem. This is the reason some people may think they are not proud.

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."{Philippians 2:3}

·      Pride surface when one does not attribute any achievement to God.

·      Pride surface when one begin to see their achievement as a product of their effort.

·      Pride surface when one ignores the capability of grace of God.

·      A person can be proud of position, talent, title, certificate, money, properties; some are even pride of nothing; they are just proud by default.

Pointers that they may be present:

ü Feeling of always being superior.

ü Other people's opinion is irrelevant.

ü Looking down on others.

7. Envy &Covetousness

Covetousness is a terrible disease; some might just think they want the good things of life.

Envy and covetousness most times work together; when you are envious of someone; you will covet what belongs to the person.

"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth."{Luke 12:15}

·      Covetousness is an offspring of lack of contentment.

·      Covetousness will always appreciate other people’s property, achievement and status than their own; no matter how hood they are also doing.

Pointers that they may be present:

ü Lack of Contentment

ü Always delighted in other people's things.

ü Unashamed when accused of the act.

8. Anger

Anger can be described in the same group as insanity.

Anger is a destructive unstable emotion which is usually triggered by something. Some people when they are not triggered could be the best person on earth but when their trigger is activated, their anger resurfaces.

"because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." {James 1:20}

Pointers that they may be present:

ü Very Touch on some specific issues.

ü Not tolerant.

ü Impatience

Implication of Ignoring the Dark Room

=> Fall into Temptations

=> Lose of great testimonies

=> Commit irreparable damage and error

·      Samson refused to deal with the dark room of STUBBORNNESS & LUST in his life. The result of this Brought disaster to him and his Ministry.

·      Judas refused to deal with the dark room of COVETOUSNESS in his life. The result of this  made him too loose his position in History of the Gospel.

=> Lose of Wonderful Divine Inheritance

·      Reuben refused to deal with the dark room of LUST in his life. The result of this made him too loose his Inheritance as the First born.

Questions TO Ask Yourself :

è  Are there some Elements or Traces of Darkness in Your Life?

è  Will the devil/enemy find a resting place of darkness in your life?

"Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. "{John 14:30}

è  Have you been allowing the devil to rent some rooms in your life; even if it is for some seconds?

Facts about Light

==>  The First Thing God Created when there was Darkness in the world, was Light.  "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." Gen 1:3}

This shows the great importance of light.

==>  Light Confuses and Overcomes Darkness

"And the light shinneth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." {John 1:5}

==>  Light releases Power.

==>  Light saves one from Death and Errors.

"For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life" {Psalm 56:13}.

==> Light conquers Darkness and gives Light.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" {John 8:12}

==> Light purifies and sanctifies.

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin" {1 John 1:7}

==> Light reflect Love inward and outward

"He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now." {1 John 2:9}

What Do You Need To Do?

Ø Identify Every Dark Room In Your Life.

Ø Ask Jesus to Illuminate the Individual Dark Rooms of Life; one by one.

Ø Consciously resist every coming alive of the dark room in your life.

Ø Guard your heart against evil unhealthy thoughts.

Ø In times of temptation; a way to overcome is to keep declaring the word; where possible speak in tongues.

Prayer Points

1.                I reject every satanic re-arrangement of my destiny, in the name of Jesus.

2.   I refuse to live below my divine standard, in Jesus’ name.

3.   Every evil power having negative awareness of my destiny be impotent, in the name of Jesus.

4.   I paralyze every destiny polluter, in the name of Jesus.

5.   Every damage done to my destiny be repaired now, in the name of Jesus.

6.                The enemy will not convert my destiny to rags, in the name of Jesus.

7.   Lord, restore me to your original design for my life.

8.    Every power that wants me to die before my glory appears, die in the name of Jesus.

9.   Every power assigned to waste my destiny, wherever you may be, from my father’s house/mother’s house,

10.           I release myself from any inherited bondage and limitations in the name of Jesus.

11.                   I release myself from the grip of any problem transferred into my life from the womb in Jesus name.
