Power to Overcome Temptation Self Control

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.." {1 Cor 10:13}

ü There is a power that secures a man's destiny; that power can rescue you from the grip if the enemy.

ü By this power, you can escape the trap the devil has set for you.

ü It can open the door of your manifestation.

ü It can bring down to you the promises of God concerning you.

ü There is a power that makes a man succeed in the days of Adversity.

ü This power that makes a difference between the strong and the weak.

It is called the Power of Self Control!

Temptation is a dilemma that forces you to make a choice. The decision you make decides whether or not you have control over it. Temptation proves that believers are victorious and strengthens your faith and relationship with God.

It is critical to remember that we do not base truth on our emotions. We must examine what God's Word says in order to renew our minds with His truth and gain wisdom in making healthy and righteous decisions. When it comes to exercising self-control and resisting temptations.

Temptation Example:

1.   Sexual Temptation

2.   To take what does not belong to you

3.   To be wicked: look the other way. If you know how to do well and you do not, it is counted as a sin. [James 4:17]

4.   Playing games on your phone in the church

5.   Receiving calls during your quite time

6.   Social media Distraction

People that utilized the Power of Self Control.

1.   Daniel: He controlled himself not to compromise and defy himself to eat the king’s meat.

2.   Job: He faced challenged but he controlled his feelings and did not curse God.

3.   Jesus: Jesus was tempted by the devil; despite hungry and tired after fasting he controlled his feelings and was victorious till the end.

People that failed to use the Power of Self Control.

1.   Eve: She gave in to temptation from the devil and lost paradise.

2.   Esau: Esau could not control his appetite and therefore lost his birthright to Jacob

3.   David: David did not have self-control. He took Uriah's wife.

Keys to Receiving the Power of Temptation

1.   Determination: Daniel purposed in his heart

2.   Prayer: Resist the devil

3.   Flee Evil: Flee for appearances

4.   Contentment.

Prayer points

1.   Every trap the enemy has set for me catch your owner in the name of Jesus

2.   I overcome every temptation by the power in the blood of Jesus

3.   Where the enemy has brought me down, I arise in the name of Jesus

4.   O lord, let you grace avail for me and let me be victorious in the battles of life.

5.   O Lord, ignite my spiritual life so that I will stop fishing in unprofitable waters in the name of Jesus

6.   O Lord, open my eyes and ears to receive wondrous things from You in the name of Jesus

7.   I decree the joy of the oppressors upon my life to be turned into sorrow, in the name of Jesus.

IF THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU; RECOVERY IS BY FORCE. STOP THEM BEFORE THEY STOP YOU, GOD BLESS YOU.
