FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 5:25-34

25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 

26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 

28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 

34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

THIS YEAR, THE ALMIGHTY GOD WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH THE WORD OF HIS POWER AND THE POWER OF HIS WORD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

THE MESSAGE:

One of the covenant names of our Great and Mighty God is El-Shaddai. This name means that He is more than enough for the needs of His children. He is Jehovah Jireh, the Great Provider. Apostle Paul affirmed this when he wrote that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). In Philippians 4:19, he said, "But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Beloved, I encourage you to place your faith in God's providence in every area of your life. There is no need that the Great Provider cannot meet. God's word is sure. When you genuinely trust Him for your needs, He will supply them, even beyond your expectation. Jeremiah 17:7-8 affirms this: "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."

One other great reward that faith bequeaths to believers is healing. The Bible calls healing the children's bread. God wants you to live a sickness-free life. He wants you to live in good health and sound mind all the time. He is, therefore, willing to make your spirit, soul and body whole. Your sickness or death does not glorify Him. It is your well-being and prosperity that bring honour to His name. With genuine and courageous trust in God, you can draw His power into your life for divine healing. Indeed, God is the health of the countenance of all those who trust in Him.

Our Fire Scripture for today shows how the faith of the woman with the issue of blood earned her instant and total healing, which brought an end to her twelve year's affliction. No matter the kind or number of afflictions the enemy hauls at you, keep your faith in God alive, He will deliver you from them all (Psalm 34:19).

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. By faith, I receive my total healing, in the name of Jesus.
2. By faith, I receive divine breakthroughs and unending provisions, in the name of Jesus.
3. By faith I receive supernatural progress, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. By faith, I receive divine protection and preservation, in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers that want to shipwreck my faith, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. I overcome the spirit of backsliding, in the name of Jesus.
7. Spirit of apostasy, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
