LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL
EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: Deuteronomy 1-2
READ: Psalms 24:1-10
1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

MEMORISE: "Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it." Genesis 28:16
EXPOSITION
Jacob was in God’s presence, but he knew not. He would have missed the opportunity, if he had not been sensitive. His knowledge of God before that time saved the day.
God owns all lands and occupies them all. Jacob did not know that God was in the land where he had passed the night. That is so pathetic! He thought the Owner was absent. He did not realize that the Owner occupies the land He created. After all, He is the rightful Owner (Psa. 24:1,2). Jacob was in God’s place, God’s presence, God’s dwelling, yet he knew not.

The Scriptures make us understand that God is Omnipresent. He is in all places at the same time, all the time. He doesn’t need to move about before getting to any destination anywhere in the universe. The earlier the better we understand this. Whether in the land, sea, air, or the farthest place from our home or nation, God is there. He is in every place. Because He was in His land, He located the enslaved Joseph in Egypt, and exiled Daniel and his three friends in Babylon (Gen. 41:14; Dan. 2:48,49). It is expressly stated that He was also with them in those foreign lands. If He is in any land with you, such land is yours, even when you are a stranger there. That vision revealed Him to Jacob. Wherever you are, He is there. He can’t be fenced out of any land.

Your home, office, the territory you are, are all God’s. In the old temple tradition, the people usually swung open the temple’s gate to symbolize their desire to have God in their midst. He can’t be shut out. It is expedient and important to open and let Him come into your heart that is a place He made for Himself (1 Cor. 6:19). Make your place your Bethel!
PRAYER POINT:
1. Invite God into your heart afresh. Pray that He will occupy your heart and make His abode there.
2. Pray that God will reveal Himself to you the more, so you can better appreciate and submit totally to His sovereignty.
3. Pray that God would bombard the nooks and crannies of our nation with His very active presence to silence gospel haters in every sphere.
DO HAVE A BLESSED DAY
