BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 33, Job 34, Matthew 23:1-39, Psalm 18:25-36
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 16:18-18
1 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.
2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”
4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large.
5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.
6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
7 But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”
8 So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
9 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.
10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept.
11 And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.
14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

THE MESSAGE:
The
Bible says that the Kingdom of God is in power. I encourage you to
learn the requirements that God wants you to meet for His power to
be poured upon you. I also advise you to pay the price and become a
carrier of His power, presence and glory. Let us examine some of the
spiritual requirements for obtaining God's power.
To acquire
spiritual power, you must be born again, become a genuine disciple
of Jesus as well as thirst and hunger for the power of God. You must
also be a prayer addict, a lover and doer of God's word, a lover of
purity and holiness and one who submits to spiritual authority.
These are the basic requirements. However, beyond salvation and
these other factors, there are greater and deeper demands you need
to meet to obtain spiritual power. Let us examine some of them.

First, for you to receive the power of God, you must give your heart to Him. In Proverbs 23:26, the Bible says, "My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways." The heart is the seat of life and strength. Spirituality begins in the heart, which both God and the devil are interested in. In the Bible, all emotions are experienced by the heart: love and hate (Psalm 105:25; 1 Peter 1:22); joy and sorrow (Ecclesiastes 2:10; John 16:6); peace and bitterness (Ezekiel 27:31; Colossians 3:15); courage and fear (Genesis 42:28; Amos 2:16). Finally, the heart means your true character or personality.

The
expression "give me your heart" means receive my counsel
with your whole heart. It also means that you should give God
yourself and your life. Your heart represents your personality,
value and everything you stand for. That is why the greatest thing
you can give God is your heart, and God says you should give Him
your heart if you want Him to fill you with spiritual power.
Somebody said that salvation is receiving the life of God, the
product of Christ's substitutionary work. It is not the same as
giving your heart to God. Therefore, you both need to be saved and
to give your heart to God.
Beloved, trust God with all your
heart, lean not on your own understanding and acknowledge Him in all
your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). His power will fill and envelop you. I
pray that God will entrust His power to you, in the name of Jesus.
