FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 18:16-23

16 Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way.

17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,

18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

20 And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave,

21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

22 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.

23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

THE MESSAGE:

When Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the prince of demons, He spoke to them in parables: "How can satan cast out satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end" (Mark 3:23b-26).

The Scriptures above inspired the popular phrase: "Divided we fall; united we stand." This adage is used to encourage unity among members of a group or family. Every family must give it a serious consideration in their bid to build a formidable front against the enemy. Any family that wishes to withstand the onslaught of the wicked one against their progress must be united in Christ. The strategy of "Divided we fall", is well understood and utilised by the enemy to carry out his work of destruction in families.

Have you noticed a pattern in your family line that is not normal? Have you noticed a pattern in your family which does not glorify the name of the Lord and you desire a change?

Sadly enough, some people out of ignorance actually accept as fate or destiny anything that runs in their families, whether good or bad. They will tell you that it is the will of God. They accept is as the will of God and live with it till they die and pass on the same fate to their offspring, and from generation to generation. They are made to believe that it is a hopeless situation; and nothing can be done to change it. Today, God will open your eyes to understand that it ought not to be so because in Jeremiah 29:11, He says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Negative pattern in my family, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Strongman assigned against my family, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God arise and deliver me from collective captivity, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. My Father, do something new in my life and my family, in the name of Jesus.
5. Heaven over my family, open by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Ancient doors that have locked up my family fortunes, open by fire, in the name of Jesus.
7. Blood of Jesus, avail and prevail for my family, in the name of Jesus.
